I know she isn't mine, but since I brought her home from the hospital I have loved her as such. I didn't expect to fall so hard so fast, but she had my heart the moment we met; just 5 days old. The moment I carried her through the door of our home she was surrounded by love. Maybe more like bombarded with love. I mean like she has people in her bubble all the time and even if she wanted space she probably wouldn't get it kind of love. She has 2 brothers and 2 sisters that absolutely adore her. She is now part of our story and we are part of hers, for how long, we don't know. But it doesn't matter. I wouldn't love her any different if she was staying 5 days or 1 year. Whatever the future holds…wherever she lands…she will always be a part of our story. I will never look back and regret loving her so hard or giving her all I had. I have loved her like my own and will always consider her part of our family. I will always pray for you Peanut. No matter how long, . . . while you are here, you're home little one.
This is foster care…beautiful and broken.
